Date Of Death: July 3, 2012

Eighty five years of age, Margaret Kearney Coughlin died on July 3, 2012 at home in the company of her children and grandchildren. She was born on October 25, 1926 in Troy, New York, where she attended Catholic Central High School. In 1948, she married Richard William Coughlin, also of Troy. They were married for 48 years and had six children. Marge was a loving and caring mother and wife. For many years, she also worked along side of her husband in the development of their family business, Endowment Development Services. In 1972, the family moved from Clifton Park, New York to Indianapolis. From 1997 until her death, Marge lived in the Champions Village subdivision. Marge was always an active member of her community. She served as president of her community’s homeowners association and tutored children for many years at Skiles Test elementary school., Marge was an intellectually curious, industrious and kindhearted woman. She saw wonder and opportunity in many different facets of life. She was a vibrant woman who enjoyed people and nature. She was cherished by her family and friends., Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Harriet and William Kearney, her brothers, William and Bernard Kearney, her husband, Richard Coughlin, and her son, Terrence Coughlin. Marge is survived by five children, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grand children, and by her brother, Edward Kearney, of Nashville Tennessee. A memorial service will be held in her honor on at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 8 at The Villages Clubhouse. Arrangements made by Indiana Funeral Care.
